So glad you're here!

Cassandra Dobbins, M.S., CCC-SLP, owner of Communication And Rehabilitation Station (CARS), is a multi-state-licensed Speech Language Pathologist and is nationally certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).  She's a proud military wife and mother to two children who are her greatest teachers. She is passionate about providing comprehensive therapy that is salient to each individual. Cassandra has created a unique practice that takes pride in being highly collaborative and focused on family-centered care.

Our Story

After working in schools, private practice, and home-health settings through both direct-hire and contracted employment, Cassandra quickly recognized the various gaps and barriers in providing quality therapy across each setting. Due to high demands and increasing caseload size, school-based settings often meant more time spent on paperwork than therapy, and finding time for collaboration with staff was difficult. While progress would be made, it appeared slowly. Due to the restrictions of contracted employment through a third party (contract agency), communication with parents/caregivers were limited and only available upon request. This often left the family feeling unsupported in home practice. Private settings and home-health offered the most rapidly improving outcomes due to personalized therapy through one-on-one sessions, but success in generalizing these skills into school or the community proved to be challenging due to limited collaboration between the private SLP and other professionals.

Cassandra wanted to create a new standard of care, where salient individualized therapy and collaborative multidisciplinary practices were forged together with a family-centered approach. The mindset would no longer be limited to helping patients achieve their communication goals through their weekly sessions alone. Instead, a plan of care would be curated to include not only treatment, but collaboration with other key stakeholders responsible for the patient's care and success. Cassandra wanted parents and caregivers feeling knowledgable and supported when implementing home-based programs and carryover strategies. She wanted to champion the consultation of other professionals in the development of goals and hear their valuable feedback. Cassandra's vision became a reality when she opened Communication And Rehabilitation Station (CARS); a private practice that provides speech-language therapy, early intervention services, and caregiver coaching via in-person and tele-therapy platforms. Our patients range from infants to adults and we work in both the school and home-based environment.

Our certified therapists have received specialized training using a variety of therapeutic techniques. CARS's philosophy is to provide whatever therapy, tools, and resources are needed to facilitate maximum success for our patients and their families.

We are humbled and honored by the opportunity to serve our patients and families.
Thank you for inviting CARS into your lives and allowing us to be a small part of your journey and purpose.
